The Music Connection (TMC), in collaboration with Berkeley and Oakland Unified School Districts, aims to provide free, supplemental music education for young musicians through after-school and in-class tutoring in both individual and group settings.

Hiya,
I highly recommend checking out Music Connection - it's a local nonprofit that provides free music lessons from UCB students to BUSD & OUSD elementary kids. You can choose the instrument and while there's no guarantee, we've had our first choice twice now. They run on the UCB academic calendar and just placed spring students, but keep an eye on it for future reference!
