Where to find live-in care, not an au pair?

Hi Parents- It seems very hard to find live-in care nowadays. do you have any advice on where to look? Au pair is last on our options, we tried once and didn't like. I prefer someone older and more experienced and wiser. but we will look into it as last option.

1) where can we find live-in nanny? (not au pairs)

2) If we do use an au pair, which agency do you recommend? What has your experience been? we need a great driver, infant experience, great attitude and someone to actually work their 45 hours (i know some families have them work like 30 hours). which country/ies are the best and more hard working for long hours?

thank you!

I would appreciate the help

Sara

We use aupaircare and haven't had a problem getting 45 hours of work. We make our needs very clear during the interview process and rule out anyone who is uncomfortable with that.  For an au pair to maintain a good attitude, you do need to treat them well, which means not going over 45 hours, letting them know the schedule ahead of time, and making sure they are able to achieve their goals for the year, which may or not include close integration with your family.

I am looking for the same exact thing. I would love someone older, as in 35+. I am totally fine with someone from another country. We would pay them + provide a private room with its own entrance. If you find anything out will you let me know? Thanks so much!!
