SNAPkids
Community SubscriberSince 1991, SNAPkids - the Special Needs Aquatic Program has empowered children (ages 1-21) with physical and/or developmental disabilities to exercise, swim, and socialize. Group classes include both individualized (designed for your swimmer) and group activities to encourage socialization and reinforce skills. Each swimmer has 1-2 volunteer teachers. Weekly classes during the school year provide consistency and repetition help our swimmers succeed. And it's fun!
Volunteers are needed! Volunteering can fill your heart with joy as you work 1:1 with our special swimmers. Volunteers need to be at least 15 years old, strong swimmers, and have a positive outlook. We request at least 1 hour per week for a semester. Interested volunteers can complete this form: https://bit.ly/VolunteerSNAPkids
