Sew Much Fun

I recommend Sew Much Fun, a camp taught by Marianne Henri out of her lower floor studio in Albany. She runs an open-ended sewing workshop and meets each kid where they are. My daughter did this camp many summers running and came out of it with cool things to wear and a few new skills. This was some years back, but I notice that there are still notices about the camp in BPN. Seems like just the right place for your child.

I would like to highly recommend Marianne Henri of Sew Much Fun in Albany mjhenri [at] att.net (mjhenri[at]att[dot]net) My daughter started taking classes with Marianne at around age 10 and continued all the way through college. Now she is an accomplished seamstress. Marianne is an amazing teacher with lots of energy and dedication. In the process my daughter also learned lots about patience, creativity and precision, as well as the joy of making something yourself and then getting to wear it!

Marianne offers small sized classes at her workshop in Albany. My daughter started around age 8 and took classes through high school. She can now make pretty much anything that she wants! Marianne is an amazing teacher with lots of energy, so my daughter also learned lots about patience, creativity and precision, as well as the joy of making something yourself and then getting to wear it!
