Where to get Botox for teeth-grinding?
I need recommendations for an oral surgeon/related professional who will give me Botox in my jaw (masseter muscles).
I have been grinding my teeth at night and clenching my jaw during the day. I have a mouthguard for sleep, which protects my teeth but doesn’t solve the problem.
My dentist recommended Botox in my jaw muscles, but didn’t have a name of an oral surgeon. I’ve called around but can’t find someone who does this treatment. I realize I could go to a Med Spa but then insurance wouldn’t cover it and I’m not sure the injector would be qualified to judge the right amount for treating bruxism.
Please send me some names!

My daughter has the exact same issues. She had Botox injections by SAMPETER LIECH ODERA MD, MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY DEPT, at Kaiser Oakland and highly recommends him.

Hello! Many dentists do this without needing to se an oral surgeon. My dentist at Berkeley Hills Dentistry (Dr Ibrahim) does it.
If you are having pain related to this issue, then you could also get it done by the Sutter pain specialists in Berkeley - Dr Rejai or Landman. I have gotten it done there as well.
I just had this done by Dr Alex McDonald in Oakland.
