TK: being little at a big school

I'm ranking OUSD schools to enroll my son in TK next year. I like Kaiser in part because he will be with age mates, but it's further from home, so wondering if anyone has any experience with how well elementary schools handle making 4 and 5 year olds feel comfortable with the bigger kids? I'm looking at Glenview, Cleveland, Piedmont Ave, Melrose Leadership Academy, as well as Kaiser (via Crocker and possibly Chabot and Hillcrest to increase chances of getting him into Kaiser). My son who is on the smaller side will be 4 this spring and recently has seemed to be intimidated by bigger kids.

I'm a current Cleveland parent with a kindergartner and a third grader at the school. Next school year will be the first year that Cleveland has an on-site TK class. Something nice about Cleveland is that they have a separate building on campus for kindergartners and some first-grade classes, and my understanding is that the TK class will be in this building. There are four classrooms, bathrooms, and a library for younger kids in that building. This gives some separation for the younger kids, although they will likely still see older kids from further away when they are at recess in the play yards or getting lunch in the main building. We don't have any experience with Cleveland's TK program because it just started this past year, but all of the teachers we've had so far at the school have been great. We love Cleveland, its teachers, and its community!
