Finding an East Bay rental - alternatives to craigslist
We are looking for alternatives to Craigslist and would love to hear your ideas and experience with this.
We are already in the area, currently in Berkeley and thinking of El Cerrito.

You might try Calrentals (if you are a campus affiliate) or NextDoor. There is also https://www.sabbaticalhomes.com/ which is for anyone and not necessarily year-long accommodations or right near campus.

I actually wrote another bit that was changed in the post, so want to add to the question here.
I certainly appreciate the tips on other networks, but am wondering particularly about realtors or other agents, who might have local knowledge and professional reach. I don’t think this is that common, but I have heard of it. Anyone who can share their experience, comment on the expense, referrals, etc?
