RECOMMENDATION FOR EAR PIERCING
I want to find a practitioner or business that does ear piercing. I already had my ears peirced many years ago but the hole in my ears has closed since I was sick and didn't wear earrings for a week. I want to have my ears pierced again in the same place that they were previously pierced. Can anyone recommend a reliable and hygienic salon or individual to re-pierce my ears. I want to have a numbing medication used when I have my ears pierced.
I live in Berkeley and prefer to go to a business or individual located in Berkeley or one of the neighborhoods close to Berekely.
Thanks, Ellen

Like you, I had my ears pierced a long time ago and wanted to have them re-done. After reading online reviews, I went to Industrial Tattoo and Piercing, on Dwight near Telegraph. The place does not look like a medical clinic, if that's what you're looking for, but the staff was very professional and knowledgeable, the shop was clean and all implements were sanitized, and I was happy with the results! You can book online. I don't know if they can offer you numbing medication or not, but with a skilled piercer it is fast and not too painful. (Definitely less painful than a novocaine shot.) Expect to spend some money on the jewelry on top of the price for the piercing itself.
I took my 5 year old to Zebra on Telegraph. Desite the slightly rough exterior, it's a super clean and super professional place and the piercers are highly skilled. They have numbing cream. Highly recommend although be prepared for the sticker shock. Not cheap.
