Recent experience with Linvill-Pond/Berkeley Design Build
Hello, we are looking for recent feedback/experiences with Linvill-Pond/Berkeley Design Build. Looking for folks who used both their design AND build services.
Would love to hear about your experience with them in terms of communication, timeliness and their ability to stay on budget as well as anything else that folks are willing to share. There are some reviews on BPN but they are about 10+ years old.

Hi, I have worked with Berkeley Design Build for the past 10 years on both my parent's home and my own home, and for both projects we used both their design AND build services. I can not say enough good things about working with Chris and Mike. What I love about this firm is that they really are architects that know how to build. This is incredibly important because it means that their designs will be reasonable - i.e. within budget and time expectations. Prior to finding Berkeley Design Build we had embarked on our first project with an architect who created unrealistic, non-standard designs, for which he really did not understand the cost implications. With Mike and Chris, we avoided any unpleasant surprises, and on top of that our project was featured in Dwell magazine, so despite controlling costs, they are not compromising on creating beautiful design. In terms of project management, Mike is an incredible communicator- prompt, detailed enough, and just an incredibly pleasant and calm individual. He is still my go-to person when I need help with homes. This firm is trustworthy- they stand behind their work.
