Opinions on aftercare for BUSD - Rosa Parks
We have a fresh Kindergartener to be starting Aug 14th at Rosa Parks. We are on the waitlist for LEARNS at Rosa Parks and the City of Berkeley aftercare at James Kenney. Do people have recent experience with getting into either of these at the last minute? Or a few weeks into the school year? I think we can scrap together care for August but don't want to get stranded with no aftercare for the whole school year. Advice very welcome! Thanks in advance.

Hi Lauren, I have a first grader starting at Rosa Parks, and we’re still on waitlists too. I’d love to band together with folks in this situation and maybe go in on an after school sitter or something until we all find longer-term solutions? Reach out if you’re interested!

We're in the same boat on aftercare and starting 1st grade at Rosa Parks. Would be good to know if there are others who might want to figure out an alternative solution.
