Good luck with this! I can recommend Kush (mathtutorkush [at] gmail.com (mathtutorkush[at]gmail[dot]com)) for math (esp. calculus and algebra) and physics tutoring. He has worked with my son and a friend since last year, and he now has a few more tutoring slots available. From Kush: "I have 6+ years of online tutoring experience, a B.S. in math/physics, training in pedagogy, and experience as a middle school classroom teacher. I've also got 3+ years of experience with SAT, ACT and AP test prep. If interested, you can contact me directly at mathtutorkush [at] gmail.com (mathtutorkush[at]gmail[dot]com) or (408) 637-8139 to discuss rates, times, and a possible online meet and greet.  Happy studies!"

I highly recommend Daniel Mayeri. He is an excellent math tutor. My son used him when he was attending Albany High and struggling with his advanced math classes. Daniel was able to explain concepts to him in a way he understood and helped him with his confidence in math. My son ended up doing well in high school math his last years. Daniel is also very low key, has a good sense of humor and relates well to kids. We had tried many other less expensive tutors and I can saw the money was definitely worth it. My son is currently studying and excelling in engineering in college. He had plenty of tutors for SAT and college prep and Daniel was his favorite tutor of all. My daughter is currently working with Daniel and enjoys her sessions with him.

Andrew Horn is a great tutor and very budget friendly if you are good with an online tutor. My high school daughter has been working with him for math support and he has been a big help. He’s a recent mechanical engineering graduate and does math and physics tutoring on the side. He is in the central time zone which helps us when we have late night questions and he is able to get us an answer in the morning lol. Check him out.
