The Model School - Starting at 15 months?
We may have secured a spot in The Model School for our will-be 15-month old boy. The program seems fairly structured online, and I'm nervous it will be too much for him. Has anyone had children at The Model School in the Dolphins classroom? Are they patient with new kiddos? It seems like this may be where they start us. We won't have a chance to tour the facility because we are relocating from out of the area. As working parents, we love the hours of The Model School, but we're also a bit sticker shocked by the monthly price tag which seems high. Do they have enrichment, like music or dance classes? Any insights so appreciated, thank you!

My family has sent both our children to the Model School. One is currently in the infant room and will be moving to the next room (1.5-3 years) this week (I can never remember the names of the rooms). The other went from 3 months old through graduation. We have had great experiences there and the price is similar to equivalent daycares, but with far better hours and flexibility. Teachers are kind. We did not find it overly structured (especially for the younger kids). There is more structure for the older kids, but we found this good as they taught our daughter to read and write at age 4 (along with the other kids). Various enrichment activities include dance classes, cooking classes, art classes, field trips, and other things. There is more for the older kids as they can do more. The parent group is also quite active (if you want to participate) and we made a lot of friends through the school.
I have a child in the Jellyfish and Angelfish classrooms. Currently Angelfish and Dolphins share a room, it's not the space pictured on the website but is in the main building. Being in the main building allows for the teachers to float and provide coverage where needed. I've found the teachers to be very patient with new children, for my angelfish we ramped up to a full time schedule.
I'd recommend asking TMS admin to connect you with a room parent to go into further detail.
