Malcolm X vs BAM (Central zone)

Dear parents, Can anyone provide some recent thoughts and/or reviews of Malcolm X and BAM? Our son is entering K this fall. We are struggling to choose between the two as first option (of course knowing that we may not get either). From what we've heard it sounds like most families love both these schools. Any thoughts and reviews in this regard will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
