Looking for a health/wellness coach/personal trainer

With my children now getting older and more independent, I'm finally coming up out of the parenting abyss with more time for myself, only to realize I'm 50, out of shape, overweight, hormonal, and have lost all motivation (and/or know-how) for self-care. I'm looking for a personal coach who can do it all - help me find an exercise regimen that's doable, fun, and sustainable; offer guidance on healthy meal planning and daily nutrition goals; identify barriers (emotional, psychological, and logistical) to self-care. I am eager to look better and feel better, but seem to have no energy to make it happen in a sustained way. Help!

I feel like the right person is out there - supportive, knowledgable, empathetic, and kind, but firm - but I don't know how to find them. Ideally, they would be willing to meet on zoom or come to my house in the East Bay.

If you have worked with a person who fits this description, please let me know! Thanks!

Leslie Boden who runs BodFit510.com is based in Oakland.  Leslie and other excellent BodFit510 teachers lead a variety of classes over Zoom, and Leslie also does personal training and nutrition coaching, in person and virtually.  Each of the teachers has a variety of certifications.  The classes are fun and have helped me be consistent with exercise in a safe, fun way. Leslie (and the other teachers) are great at helping students adapt exercises to individual needs..  She can be messaged through the website  and typically responds within 24 hours.  Note:

I had the most wonderful experience at Bright Body in El Cerrito. Dr Stoop helped me to get my diet and nutrition in a fantastic place that I can sustain for the long haul.

In my experience and research, diet has so much more to do with weight loss than exercise, though both are important for good health. Good luck!

Breakthrough Coaching might be a great fit for you. She's located in Oakland on Piedmont Ave. Check out her offerings at www.realizeyoucan.com. She has training and certifications in coaching, yoga therapy, pilates, and personal training, and she works with clients holistically to address the whole person. I've taken small group classes with her and done one-off coaching sessions and found her to be very skilled and easy to talk to. She just turned 50 and is a working mom, so she knows where you're coming from. Best of luck!
