Looking for an excellent dentist
Hello! I am seeking an excellent dentist who is skilled in treating patients with sensitivities i.e. gag reflex, takes Delta Dental, uses up-to-date equipment, and is located in or close to Oakland. Thank you for sharing any recommendations!

I really love Dr. Cynthia Cox. I've been seeing her for years, and now all my friends go to her too :). She's outgoing, smart, up to date, and yet conservative about suggesting (expensive) dental work when not necessary. I'm not a sensitive dental patient but they are always so careful with me when I get treatment, and ask if I want/need any modifications, etc. When I needed a root canal she set me up with the periodontist across the hall and walked over several times to check on me. Her office takes Delta Dental. The decor of her office is pretty dated - looks like my mom's kitchen - but her equipment isn't. She's in Oakland, Pill Hill area.
