LGBT families in Martinez/Pleasant hill?

My partner and I have occasionally considered moving out to Martinez or Pleasant Hill from Alameda County with our newborn for more affordable housing and more space. My SO grew up part time in Pleasant Hill and remembers it as being pretty conservative, although it seems like maybe things have shifted somewhat over the years. Just wondering if anyone has a sense of what it’s like for LGBT/Queer families in that part of Contra Costa?
