Inexpensive Spaces for Weekly Meeting 8-14 people
I'm investigating spaces in the Berkeley area to hold a weekly meeting in the evening for approximately 8-14 people. I'm checking with local churches but its slim pickings.
I'm hoping someone in the community has knowledge of a location.
Thank you!

Check out East Bay Community Space: https://eastbaycommunityspace.org/. They have smaller rooms that may work for you. In North Oakland on the Berkeley border.
Might be too far for your taste, but OMCA has a lovely garden space that you can use 11-5. They have big tables that would be good for that size.
Shepherd of the Hills on Grizzly peak rents out their space weekly. https://www.sothb.org/renting-our-space
Your local elementary school could be an option. Here is the Berkeley School District application and rates (page 11): https://www.berkeleyschools.net/wp-content/uploads/2024/10/Facilities-Use-Application-BUSD.pdf
The sports basement has a free space for reservation https://shop.sportsbasement.com/blogs/community-spaces/community-room-1
Sports Basement offers a space, for free, I think.
Have you considered Walden Center & School? They're in central Berkeley - and primarily a school - but the Center portion hosts babywearing meetings and some musical practices/performances, among others. Nice community!
Try Berkeley Yacht Club.
Our cooperative preschool, Skytown, rents out the space after hours. It could easily hold that many people and there are enough folding chairs to accommodate large groups there is a small fridge, coffee pot, mugs etc.. Not sure if your meeting needs a more professsional environment but feel free to contact them at skytown.admin [at] gmail.com (skytown[dot]admin[at]gmail[dot]com) if it sounds like it could be a fit.
Check out East Bay Community Space. We had a family meeting there once for 7 people in a small-ish meeting room, but they have spaces that can accomodate more. https://eastbaycommunityspace.org/
