High School recs for 2E autistic/adhd boy

Im looking into private schools for next year for my son who’s 2E Autistic/ADHD. Im most curious about Bayhill, Orinda Academy, Holden and Maybeck. He's very motivated to learn, loves art/science, but struggles a lot with time management —  making homework really challenging. Socially tends to keep to himself.  Thanks!

I would suggest that you look at Orion Academy for your son.  The school provides great executive functioning support for college bound autistic kids.  They also focus on social support in a variety of ways that help the students bond naturally.  My son has grown tremendously academically and socially since he started at Orion - and has learned skills to make homework manageable.  I am really impressed with both the school and his progress.

Hi there. My 2e autistic / adhd daughter (14) attends Millennium in Piedmont.  If you can get an inter-district transfer it's a wonderful (free) option. Class sizes are very small and students have access to all the AP, electives, sports, clubs and social activities as the kids at Piedmont High School (same campus).  Happy to chat with you about it if helpful. Feel free to reach out.  We also looked at Orion and Maybeck - both seemed like good options as well.

Best of luck

Hello. Our 2e son is a Senior at Tilden Preparatory (Albany campus). This is his third year there. He has enjoyed the academics, the social aspects, and the support he receives. The one-on-one instruction is the best style for him. I don't think any of the other schools offer that. It's definitely worth doing an exploratory visit/open house.
