Harry Potter Bday Party - Need Help! :)

My soon-to-be 7 year old really wants a Harry Potter birthday party -- think potion making station, sorting hat, dragon finding, spell challenges, etc.

Do you know anyone who can help me pull this off? It could be a party planner or even just a very creative camp counselor-type of person...

Thanks!

At that age, my children both tremendously enjoyed the Harry Potter-themed camps and classes offered by Mary Ellen Hill. She personifies the whismy and magic of the books.  https://mehstories.com/contactme.html

Yes! Contact Mary Ellen hill. She is a local storyteller who runs Harry Potter themed camps. My kids love her. She is available for hire for parties I believe. Www.mehstories.com

Twice over the years I've hired the Cal Quidditch team to run a game for kids' birthday parties and they were fabulous - no potion-making, but the kids all had an absolute blast and the team members put a lot of effort into entertaining them, and all I had to do was hand out cupcakes (with a secret color filling that determined which house you were in) at the end. https://calquidditch.wordpress.com/kidditch/. Feel free to message me if you want more info on HP-inspired snacks and other fun things we did.

Hi Deb,

You may want to try reaching out to Professional Storyteller Mary Ellen Hill (https://www.mehstories.com/, 510-219-3474, mehstories [at] netzero.com) to see if this is something she would be able to assist with. Mary Ellen holds Harry Potter-themed camps from her home garden in Oakland during the summer so she's definitely a Harry Potter expert. My daughter attended one of the camp sessions last summer when she was 8 and had a lot of fun!
