Experience with the Family Birth Center at SFGH?

Hi, I'm currently pregnant and looking into where to give birth. Can anyone share with experience with the Family Birth Center at SFGH? I'd like limited to no interventions, and birthing at my own pace with just a midwife but also want to be near a hospital in case of an emergency.

Hi, i would wholeheartedly recommend SFGH, the midwives are top notch and very patient with labor. I trained with them in ObGyn and there is nothing like it anywhere now that St Lukes closed its birth center. Its within the hospital setting so you have access to UCSF physicians and pediatrics if there are any complications. But its probably the best place to get incredible midwifery care in a very safe environment.
