Does a moderate priced, quality 36 inch gas range exist?

We bough our home in 2015 and it looks like the kitchen was redecorated in the 1970s (maybe early 80s). It has a 36 gas range. Since all the oven knobs are broken (and we use a mechanical pencil to turn it on and off :)) and 2 burners require a match to light them so I am thinking of replacing it. I have asked and searched for myself and the parts no longer exist so repair doesnt seem to be an option. My onliene search for a NEW range shows cheaper ($1500-2500) options that have terrible reviews and much higher end items that seem to be for people who love to cook/professionals ($8k+). Is there an option in the $3k or less range that will last and wont break the bank? I considered a standard size (30inch) but then will need to fill in the 6 inches with something that doesnt match or do an even bigger remodel (which is likely out of my budget). Any make/model suggestions? Or general suggestion? Im stuck in my decision making process. Thanks!

Have you looked at older refurbished stoves such as Wedgewood? Those are built to last and definitely won't break the bank. We have one in our house that the previous owners bought in the early 2000's and it's still going strong. Check out Apple Stoves in Oakland. They sell refurbished stoves for less than $1k and they provide maintenance as well. I've had them come out for maintenance a few times and they are extremely helpful and happy to show you how the ins and outs of the stove. They also said the replacement parts are easy to obtain despite the age of the stove.

I have a blue star 36” gas range and love it. The model I have falls in pricing between the $3k and under budget and the $8k+ high end models. You can buy a new one for around $5k plus tax. If you don’t want to stretch your budget I recommend waiting for Black Friday sales or buying a floor model, or a used one!

I purchased last year my 36 inch gas range based on Consumer Reports good reviews.

It was one of the top 3 (2023) on their list.    It is   Kucht.  6 burner  (options include a black door or

stainless steel).  Order/Purchase at Home Depot.     I paid approximately $3300 and remember the ones in the $5000 plus price range.

Very happy with my choice.

We just bought a GE Profile last year. Our appliance repair man recommended it highly and it’s been great. We bought from Airport He appliance on January 2nd when they were having an after new years sale. We got it for $1500 but the non sale price might have been 2300?
