Da Vinci Alameda

I have read a variety of comments about Da Vinci in Alameda here on BPN, many of which were neutral-negative.  But there seem to be some glowing reviews out there as well, and I am curious if any current or former parents can help me understand the type of child that best thrives at this program?  We have been looking into this program as one potential option for our current 1st-grader who is bored/unstimulated at his current school (though he is socially fine, and does not have a learning difference to our knowledge).  I see many pros, but also have some hesitations.  If there is a current parent that is willing to talk offline that would also be much appreciated!!
