Contractor for small, fast bathroom remodel
Hi,
We want to sell our house over the summer. The house is gorgeous other than the kids' bathroom which has never been remodeled from the 1960's original. It's small and it needs a new bathtub/shower insert, vanity, flooring, and mirror. It will also need to be painted. We've already replaced the toilet and light fixture but those will probably need to be removed and reinstalled.
We'd like to do a fast, inexpensive remodel of the bathroom so that it looks fresh and clean and doesn't detract from the rest of our turn-key house. We're looking for recommendations for a licensed contractor who will get permits and do this quickly, but correctly.
Any recommendations?

I recommend David Cook, owner of http://cookskitchenandbath.com/. They did my kitchen in El Sobrante and it turned out very nice. We used dove tailed cabinets made out of birch wood for my kitchen which I realize is a bit higher end, BUT I know they also specialize in shower stall inserts. You may tell them that Barbara Ramel recommended them.

I noticed a recommendation for Gelu construction and I wanted to chime in that I recently had work done by him and I was pleased initially by how quickly the job was done and how knowledgeable he is even with some of our communication errors. (Make sure you get everything you want done in writing.). We found some problem spots with the tiling afterwards and he became very difficult to reach. It still has not been fixed. He also tiled the bathroom cabinet in such a way that we cannot open it all the way. I had to have the job done fast so we were willing to live with the mistakes but if I had time I would probably have gone with someone else.
