Time is a rare commodity in our household. My wife and I have two kids, two dogs, 2.5 full-time jobs, and live in a Berkeley craftsman house that is older than all of us combined. When I say my life would be impossible without Honey Homes, I am both slightly exaggerating and 100% serious.

Our handyman is knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to work with. He shows up on time and goes right to work. The Honey Homes app helps us organize our projects and allows us to book appointments that fit into our busy schedule. Even my wife and I know how to fix things when they break, we don't always have the time or the energy. Honey Homes has helped us to catch up on literal months of delayed projects and tiny to-dos, from installing a backsplash to match our new stovetop to oiling squeaky hinges, tightening loose knobs, flipping out filters, and so. much. caulk.

I wholeheartedly recommend Honey Homes to anyone who is looking for a dependable handyman to help take care of ongoing projects around the house. We've worked with a number of local handypeople for one-off projects before. We've used Thumbtack and Angi's and (gasp) even Nextdoor. We prefer Honey Homes over all other options because they stand by their work and are very open to feedback. They won't ghost you. If something goes wrong, they'll go out of their way to fix it. We just shot their customer service team a message and they sorted things out in less than 48 hours at no extra cost.

One of my favorite things about being a Honey Homes member is if our handyman can't do a job, they help find someone who can. Their network of trusted (and licensed) plumbers, electricians, and contractors HAS SAVED US SO MUCH TIME. It's easy to sing songs of praise and adoration about quality service. We've been members for almost 6 months, have had 24 visits, and gotten almost 50 tasks done. Honey Homes has saved me dozens of hours that I have happily reinvested back into my family and my sanity.

Has it been smooth sailing and blue skies the whole time? For the most part, yes. Homeownership ain't easy. Neither is dealing with stressed-out homeowners. When our main handyman was out on leave (did I mention that Honey Homes handypeople are full-time employees, NOT sub-contractors, so they get PTO and insurance), his backup had pretty big shoes to fill and missed a few key issues that should have been taken care of. We reached out, Honey Homes heard us and provided a swift resolution.

We use Honey Homes — it’s a local company that employees handymen full time. There is one handyman for each neighborhood so you have the same one each time and the handymen don’t have to drive all over for appointments.

You can pay monthly or yearly (which gets you a discount) and you get (2) 2-hour appointments each month. Appointments are booked via their app. The idea is you can’t use them for a big remodel, but to knock items off your to-do list. Our awesome handyman has re-hung doors, patched water damage, hung light fixtures, fixed toilets, etc. You can keep a list of tasks in the app and then just add them to the appointment so the handyman knows what to tackle that day. They also provide extra services, like a furnace check up before winter, cardboard box break-down, ewaste pickups, and the like. Some other services are optional for additional cost (but discounted from what they would be if you booked them separately), like carpet cleaning, window cleaning, holiday light hanging, etc.

We have been so happy with the service and our handyman in particular.  He seems happy to be a full-time employee with vacation/benefits, etc. and to not have to do any billing or collect money from clients.  Check it out!

I use a service, Honeyhomes, that I absolutely love.  Truly, I cannot stop talking about it.  You pay a monthly fee and not only does a wonderful handyman, David, come to your home regularly (usually 2x month for a total of 4 hours), but a central office coordinates all the parts, tracks the progress of each project, and even coordinates other tasks that are beyond a handyman.  For example, during one of our atmospheric river days, one of my windows sprung a leak and they had a contractor to me to fix it within two hours.  Everything goes on one to do list in an app (with pictures, notes on parts and progress, etc) which is a huge weight off my mental load.

Link below for a free walk through, which is what convinced me to sign up.  I have not regretted it!
