Dear Families and Community Members,
Looking for a fun and relaxing way to spend a Saturday afternoon? We’re excited to invite everyone to our Read & Play Saturdays! These monthly events are a perfect opportunity for families to explore our library, discover a wide selection of German books, and enjoy time together on campus. Whether you’re a current family or new to our community, we’d love for you to join us!
Our first Read & Play event of the year is this Saturday, November 16th, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and we’re welcoming all families to join in the fun!
What to expect:
- Open Library: Our library will be open for families to browse and enjoy a variety of books in German.
- Storytime: We’ll be reading short stories aloud for the little ones! The reading time will be about 15-20 minutes, depending on the children’s ages and interests. 📖
- Outdoor Playtime: After reading, children will have the opportunity to play outside in our school yard! We will have balls and a variety of activities available for the kids to enjoy and burn off some energy. ⚽🎈
This is a relaxed, fun afternoon where families can connect, discover new books, and enjoy both indoor and outdoor activities in our wonderful spaces. It’s a great chance to enjoy reading together and meet new people in the community!

- Where: 1070 41st Street, Emeryville, CA 94608
- How to Enter: You can access the campus through either the 41st or 43rd Street gates.
We hope to see you this Saturday for a fun-filled afternoon of stories, play, and discovery. Everyone is welcome to join—no prior registration required!
