Club Med Cancun met all those needs for our family when we went with two boys and my husband's parents.  The best thing about it was the kid's program.  My boys, who were 11 and 14 at the time, were engaged with kid programming from 9am - 9pm, stopping to eat meals with us.  They even have programs for babies!  My kids said it was their best vacation ever.  The food was good and met everyone's needs.  There were wonderful fitness opportunities for adults; my favorite was the daily yoga and daily salsa lesson.  The evening shows were fabulous.  The water was beautiful and warm.  We went on a wonderful day-long excursion as well.

If I was to travel on my own I would choose something more natural, less of a resort.  But with kids, this was the perfect vacation because I finally got a break from parenting and got to take care of my own health and rejuvenation.

We had a wonderful time at Club Med in January 2023, having had what sounds like similar travel habits to yours. We had booked a transfer from the airport which was a very straightforward taxi ride, about 25 minutes or so. We didn't take advantage of the Mini/Kids Club, but our 2.5 y/o loved it regardless. The food was good (there's a steak house, a Mexican restaurant and a "general" restaurant which, at least during our stay, did not serve French food at all) and everything was super kid friendly. There are many activities for children and families even outside of the dedicated clubs, and a pool that was almost exclusively frequented by families. We were very pleasantly surprised by the whole experience!

Avoid Club Med Cancun! We were in a similar situation, looking for an easily accessible all-inclusive vacation and the Club Med in Cancun looked great but the transition from the airport to the resort was bizarrely drawn-out and complicated, mosquitos were pretty bad at the lagoon, 2 of us had food poisoning  — it may have been due to short staffing b/c of Covid (this was 11/21) but I would recommend finding someplace else….

Hello! We did Club Med Cancun in 2014 when my son was 3. We went through Pleasant Holidays on a package and we were able to get a good deal back then.
They have a lot of things for kids - a kids club daycare with activities etc. , nice rooms and a beautiful beach. A kid pool and a bigger pool with a deep end.
Be aware they serve French food since Club Med is French - a bit of a bummer for us going to Mexico - but overall food was good.
We were able to get a taxi and go to Tulum ruins, Playa del Carmen and a cenote.
In the end, all inclusives weren’t our thing so we didn’t do it again, but - without other examples to compare -  Club Med was a good one!

Club Med Cancun is paradise. I've been to two Club Meds (Cancun and Punta Cana) and they were both paradise. They have lots of activities for kids and adults, and most kids seem to enjoy the kid's clubs. The food is great. We went for the first time when my kids were 4 and 9 and it was truly the most relaxing, perfect vacation. That said, if you're trying to reserve in February (particularly if it's President's week) it might cost about a million dollars.
