Petites Merveilles: French Immersion Montessori Preschool Openings
Petites Merveilles is a home based French immersion Montessori micro-preschool located in Central Berkeley (by Becky Temko park). Our indoor space is full of sunlight, furnished with natural materials and set up with engaging age-appropriate activities. Our outdoor space is a large enclosed garden with fruit trees, raised beds and a chicken coop. We balance our time between enriching activities, lots of fun socialization, and time in nature. Tuition includes pescatarian and organic lunches and snacks, 3-4 field trips per year, and weekly yoga classes.
We have space for one more child 3yo+ and are enrolling for the 2025/2026 school year. Base hours are 8:30 to 3:30 with the possibility for an extended day from 8:00 to 5:00. Teacher/student ratio is 1:5, and children are between 3 and 5 years old. Contact me for a tour and more information!

Petites Merveilles is designed to be a safe and engaging space that supports young children's natural development, enriches their daily lives with joyful community and imbues a strong sense of self-worth. Our curriculum is based on Dr. Maria Montessori’s method, and our philosophy is centered around love, respect and curiosity. We sing and dance, garden, and concentrate on the joyful work of learning. Children have the opportunity to acquire all kinds of practical life as well as early literacy and pre-math skills. We are a francophone house, so we do it all in French! There is no need for prior experience with the French language though - children between the ages of 0-6 are in the optimal developmental stage for language acquisition. Give your child the gift of becoming multilingual!
The founder and head teacher, Eliza Bonneaud, grew up between Paris and the Alps, holds a Montessori primary teacher credential from Montessori Northwest (AMI), a BA in applied foreign languages, a teaching certificate for French as a foreign language, and a decade of experience teaching children of various ages and cultural backgrounds. She is compassionate, loving and creative, and aims to build a tight community around children and their parents/caregivers.
