Tutoring for Summer and Beyond

I’m an upper elementary school teacher (Peralta, Chabot, Aurora) who has transitioned out of the classroom to work 1:1 with students. I have a deep understanding of subject matter, California and Common Core standards, and progressive teaching methodology. I’m able to meet students where they’re at academically, socially, and emotionally, and have a track record of making strong connections with students and their families. My own strengths and struggles (as well as those of my own children) have informed my teaching. As a student, I struggled with math, and know well the feelings that go along with that. I’m able to balance teaching the “why” with the “how” of math. As a strong reader and writer, I have strategies to help struggling students.
