STEM + Spanish Tutor: 3rd Year Medical Student, Native Spanish Speaker

All Subjects K-5, Biology, General Science, Math K-8, Reading & Comprehension, College Admissions Advising, College Essay Coaching, Special Needs & LD Support, Spanish

Hola/Greetings! My name is Sarah.

I'm happy to help foster your child's bright future through academic tutoring, personal mentorship, social/emotional coaching, and college prep advising.

As a rising third-year graduate medical student (MD candidate), I have a strong foundation in STEM disciplines. I also have professional experience working at UCSF in adolescent mental health. Finally, I'm a native Spanish-speaker (background: Colombian, Peruvian), and love supporting students in learning to feel confident in speaking.

My areas of expertise include:

  • supporting students who may have informal/formal diagnosis (ADHD, MDD, GAD, LD, etc), have undocumented/documented disabilities/neurodivergence, or just struggle with low academic self-esteem
  • Tutoring STEM subjects, including Math, Biology, Chemistry, etc.
  • Tutoring Spanish of all ages, specifically helping to nurture confidence with language conversational fluency.
  • Helping high schoolers craft unique narrative to shine for competitive scenarios such as college/job interviews, internship applications, and personal statements.

In my work, I hope to nurture a spirit of resilience, self-actualization, personal agency, and kind curiosity to best empower your child or teen. I can meet in-person or online. I look forward to connecting!
