Science-Backed Reading, Math and Executive Functioning Support

Greetings! I run Goodspeed Literacy, a family-owned and operated educational company providing structured, phonics-focused, 1:1 support for students struggling with reading, writing and math. Basing my work on the best research around how kids learn to read, I am an educator who is passionate about helping your student shine academically.

I have lot of experience with students with IEPs as well as how to help advocate for your student when their needs are not being met. I also work well with all students by building a strong relationship with them and tayloring our time together to their exact needs.

I can communte to families in the Castro Valley/Oakland/Hayward area for in person sessions or I also host online sessions if the format works for the student.

I provide:

-Phonics intervention based in the science of reading as well as fluency, comprehension, phonemic awareness and vocabulary

-Orton-Gillingham approach coursework to support students with learning disabilities

-Math skills support including reasoning and word problems K-7th grade.

-Executive functioning support in math, writing, and organizational skills for K-7th grade students.

-Spelling and Writing Support for TK-5th

Credentialed teacher in CA with Master's in Education, and 9 years of educational experience.
