Personable, Patient, Engaging Independent School Teacher

Hello! 

My name is Erin, and I am a passionate educator and science advocate with over 16 years of experience teaching in Bay Area and East Coast independent schools. As a classroom teacher, I develop lesson plans with critical thinking and understanding, not memorization, at the core of each class. I regularly present material for multiple learning modes: having my students draw diagrams, act processes out, create models, engage with labs to observe reactions, analyze data and draw conclusions, and apply their knowledge of a topic with case studies. I have also worked with dozens of students over the years to optimize their executive function, helping them organize and plan out their work in my class as well as finding a balance for all their classes, at times engaging in daily check-ins for the schedule that we developed.

I welcome virtual sessions and am available for in-person tutoring during student’s free periods at school and as well as after school hours.
