Montessori Credentialed Teacher offering Tutoring Services

I hold a Montessori teaching credential for the Elementary age group, and led a classroom for grades 1-3 for the past 9 years at a local Montessori school. I am passionate about helping kids reach their highest potential based on their own individual needs and learning styles. I specifically love to help kids with executive functioning and study skills, creating a Montessori home environment conducive to learning, and introducing the use of Montessori or homemade materials that will aid the child in math, language, reading, writing, and handwriting.  I also assist children with homework and summer work from their teachers. 

Rate: $100/hour or $75/45 min.

In math, I can help with memorization techniques (Making Math Real) and mastery of the operations through the use of sensorial materials. 

For reading, I can help identify phonics and/or sight word challenges and provide consistent reading support. I have training in the Lindamood Bell method.

My writing technique focuses on pre-planning writing and creative activities. 

Kids thrive when they are provided with structure, independent learning, and a safe space to make mistakes. 

I am currently available Monday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday at my home in El Cerrito or your home (El Cerrito, Kensington, Albany, Richmond, and Berkeley only please).
