Math & Science Tutoring

Hello!

I am a STEM teacher who has been tutoring students for over 2 decades now.   My background is science: my degrees are in Chemistry and Applied Math. 

I work well with students who have math anxieties, learning differences, and who struggle in the traditional classroom setting.  I'm also skilled at working with students who fall behind and need to catch up.  My only requirement is that the student has a desire to succeed, even if they are having a hard time at the moment.  I like to approach the material from many different angles, drawing connections with the student's real-life experience so they can really grasp the concepts and connect with the science and math.

I work with high school and college students.  I can tutor chemistry, physics and math; including honors, AP level, and lower-division college classes.

I tutor from home, currently only via Zoom during the pandemic.  I am available in the evening during the week and afternoons and evenings on the weekends. 

My rates are $100/hr and I accept Paypal, Venmo and Zelle.

I'll help your student gain the confidence to succeed in their STEM classes, overcoming their fears and perhaps even falling in love with these areas of science!
