Local High School Mathematics Tutor for Middle Schoolers

Hello, my name is Sebastian and I'm a senior at Berkeley High School. Mathematics has always been my favorite subject and I even plan to major in applied mathematics in college. I've taken the highest levels of math available to me at my high school, and have also regularly tutored other students in lower level math classes at my school since freshmen year. My philosophy as a tutor is to only provide assistance when necessary, letting the student use what they already know and asking guiding questions when the student gets stuck. This allows the student to develop stronger mathematical critical thinking skills to better work through homework and tests on their own. I'm passionate about math and love seeing when a problem or concept "clicks" for others. 

My focus is on students K-8, but I can also tutor up to high school freshmen and sophomores as well. For younger students I can also assist with subjects outside of mathematics.

As for scheduling, I'm available most weekends and I'm based out of Berkeley. I can drive to meet you at your house or in a public space within Berkeley or adjacent cities, or we can arrange online sessions too. I currently charge $25/hr.
