Greetings!

I am a career Jewish educator, tutoring privately and in small groups after 21 years in a Jewish day school teaching grades K-8. My current students, ages 6-86, enjoy my warmth and genuine love for Hebrew, Judaism, and Torah study. While my adult learners enjoy decoding and textual analysis of the prayer book, Mishna, Talmud, or weekly Torah portion, my younger students engage in b'mitzvah preparation, Hebrew language skills, study of the Jewish calendar, and learning about mitzvot and Jewish values. I see them in person, in my garden, or remotely, separately or in small groups. My fee is $90/hour (some choose half-hour lessons). I have taught in local synagogues, and have had students in Alaska, Colorado, the DC area, and locally. We've maintained warm connections across the miles. I currently work with preschoolers, kindergarteners, elementary school students, middle schoolers, and adults. Resume and references available upon request. I maintain a CA State Credential, in addition to serving children with special needs. I find that maintaining patience and a calm demeanor go a long way in helping children discover their own strengths, and listening deeply helps them feel supported during these unusual times. I strive to make learning joyful and positive, and find that my students become my teachers. I celebrate them!
