I am a longtime local resident and UC Berkeley graduate, having tutored math and physics in the East Bay since 1994 and taught full-time for 7 years at two local private high schools. I am an experienced teacher with empathy, patience, enthusiasm, and humor, regardless of whether my students are struggling or excelling.

My students and I write directly on the screen of a large tablet computer, where I create lessons that place new ideas in context of old ones, then hand the stylus to the student so they get experience solving new problems or practicing required skills. After the lesson is over, students can access our work on a shared online folder, so they have a permanent record of our time together.

My office is in downtown Berkeley, a short walk from Berkeley High School, Berkeley City College, UC Berkeley, and BART.
