Experienced and enthusiastic piano teacher with current openings

I am an experienced piano teacher with over 25 years of experience. If you are looking for a teacher who is knowledgeable, passionate, and attentive, please consider me. A love of performing, wanting to share music and the joy of learning is what drew me into teaching while I was still in college. I most enjoy bringing students to the next level-whatever that is- bringing confidence and unique skills to people in my community is an added bonus.

I offer a complimentary trial lesson, and if all think it's a good fit, we start with one month of lessons (minimum requirement.)  I offer advice/suggestions on repertoire if the student is a beginner, or doesn't have any "dream pieces," or maybe just doesn't have any experiences in picking pieces. I blend work on rhythm/musicianship and technique in each lesson, and include games for small children.

I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Piano Performance from the University of Texas at Austin, where I also studied piano pedagogy. I have been teaching, performing and coaching in the Bay Area since 1996, and have been on the faculties of The Crowden School, and The San Francisco Community Music Center.
