Compassionate, Down-to-earth Coaching with an Executive Function & Learning Difference Specialist
Procrastination. Distraction. Disorganization. Lack of motivation.
Sound like your kid? Don’t fret! Together, your child and I can tackle their EF challenges head-on, foster critical thinking and self-advocacy, and help them feel empowered to love learning (again) in a judgment-free, warm, and empathetic environment.
I hold degrees from UC Berkeley in Art and American Studies with a focus on Race, Culture & Identity in Urban Schools. In my 10 years as an educator, I've taught high school English, Life Skills, and art; tutored one-on-one; and directed / worked with local youth enrichment programs that prioritize social justice, community care, and youth who have been marginalized by white supremacy. I currently mentor and coach tutors as Director of Instructional Support for a local business.
Together, your child and I will address their executive function and content challenges by building long-term habits, study skills that actually work, and a personalized learning plan tailored to their needs -- all while exploring tools to navigate learning differences (like ADHD, dyslexia, and auditory processing challenges), mental health, and systemic challenges (e.g. school systems that cater to neurotypical learners).
