College Counseling with Detailed Essay Development and Editing

I have over twenty years of experience helping students make the jump to college and offer support with everything from college selection through application essays and on to scholarship applications after you have been admitted. 

I can provide support throughout the process, or you can select specific needs, like essay development and editing--my editing is finely-detailed and focused on the best outcomes for students. 

An initial orientation meeting provides you with an overview of the process and current application data and trends, as well as advice on creating a healthy college application list that allows you to reach for your dreams while providing a safety net.  For freshman and sophomore students, periodic check-ins after an initial meeting allow you to correct course as you work your way through high school, while junior students start assembling a list of colleges and a strategic narrative.  We begin essays in the summer after the junior year, and many of my clients have their applications done before Thanksgiving.

For rising seniors only needing essay editing, we can start with spring essays for internships or with the Common Application, which will be using the same essay prompts as last year.

You choose the level of service and we work together based on your needs, rather than paying a large, upfront retainer fee.
