College Admissions and Essay Tutor

I am a doctoral student of Rhetoric at UC Berkeley looking to assist high-schoolers with their college admissions and personal essay. I am a graduate of Swarthmore College with highest honors in Religion, English Literature, and a minor in Classics. In addition, my past studies at Wadham College, University of Oxford have trained me in tutorial essay writing, which emphasizes precision and thesis arguments. I am also a 2020 QuestBridge Scholar, and have experience applying to colleges with both the CollegeApp and QuestBridge applications, the latter essay being highly creative and personal. My experience applying to T20 liberal arts colleges and graduate programs (with past admissions to Bard College, St. John's College, University of Chicago, or Harvard University) equips me with the expertise to assist students with their college admissions success.

Due to my research specialities in philosophy, theology, and classical studies at UC Berkeley, I am trained in argumentative writing, particularly in the essay format. During my sessions, I not only emphasize the importance of argumentation in the personal essay, but also creativity and authenticity.
