Re: Non-Denominational Christian Church with a young membership
To any families looking for a dynamic non-denominational church with lots of community outreach, a good kids program, and diverse group offerings, I would recommend Bay Farm Community Church in Alameda. I have been to several churches over the years since moving to the Bay Area 8 years ago and this has been by far the most warm, caring, and comfortable environment. The music is great, contemporary yet not trying to be showy and the programs for the kids are really good. There are classes from infants up through High School, all well organized and taught by dedicated members with lots of energy and caring. The church is in the midst of building a new worship center, which should help make it feel a bit less cramped. Although it has a diverse community in terms of ages there are plenty of 30-somethings like me who have young kids as well as groups such as a moms group and a monthly couples communication group. The pastor is also very good, integrating scholarship with the word of God to make the messages more meaningful than the short shrift the media tends to give Christianity.
