Hello Everyone.
I would like to recommend a home based daycare facility, Tots R Us, taught by Lumin, a former Montessori preschool teacher. She has openings for children 3 mos to 5 years old for full time care. Lumin has a structured day which includes circle time, an early start lesson, and lots of educational activities for the children. Her home is always kept very clean and structured towards learning. She also provides a healthy breakfast, lunch and snacks for the children too! Lumin is attentive to all of her children and also very patient and caring.

Hi BPN'ers, my daughter's daycare provider, Lumin de la Cruz at Tots R Us, has a few openings at her home-based daycare near Washington Square Park in Alameda (westside). We've known Lumin since June '08 and my daughter LOVES Tots. She is now 2 1/2 years old and thrives at Lumin's! Lumin offers each child lots of love attention, and structure in their days. She's a former Montessori preschool teacher so the toddlers are well on their way to learning all kinds of things, just like preschool. Each day is filled with breakfast, singing and educational activities, play, lunch and a nap, and more play/activities. I feel like we have the best of both worlds: a certified, safe and structured environment under the loving roof of a wonderful former preschool teacher and mother of 5 grown children. : )

Hi BPN'ers! I'd like to recommend our 2 year old's daycare provider, Lumin de la Cruz at Tots 'R Us. Lumin currently has 5 toddler openings and 1 baby opening. I cannot say enough good things about Lumin and her assistant. Lumin is a former pre-school teacher with 5 grown kids of her own, so you know she has experience! She speaks both English and Philipino, and has all the daycare certifications. The kids enjoy days filled with songs, dancing, stories, healthy meals, and just a great environment to interact.

Lumin is simply a very generous, fun person. She welcomes our daughter with a smile and a hug every single morning. And Lumin's rates are SO affordable. We are both working parents, and having her available at 7a-6p really helps. Please consider Lumin and Tots 'R Us for your child!
