Tati's Kids

I knew Tati before she opened her daycare and worked privately with children. When I had my son and learned that she had an in-home daycare with an opening, I felt so lucky. Tati’s Kids is a Spanish immersion daycare which was a requirement for us. 

Our child was in a nanny share before Tati’s and has flourished in every way since being at Tati’s Kids. The transition to daycare was far less stressful than I had anticipated and I feel that my son is in caring, loving hands with Tati. He eats and sleeps well while in Tati’s care and when he doesn’t, Tati is sure to let us know. 

Tati naturally balances group structure, flexibility and individualized care. She always opens the door with a warm smile when greeting our son in the morning and he is excited to see Tati and his friends. 

Tati’s Kids is a great fit if you are looking for someone to partner with you in raising your child and value promoting independence. Our son just turned 2 and is potty training very well and as parents, we feel supported by Tati as we navigate the potty training challenge. 

Tati provides insight from her perspective of care and is a wonderful communicator. She genuinely cares about our child’s growth and has always collaborated with us when we have been faced with a challenge. Tati has over 10 years of experience working with kids and she has a responsive, supportive, caring approach.

In addition to being a loving and playful caregiver, Tati is an excellent teacher. Our son has developed excellent language and writing skills, thanks to Tati’s lessons. We are amazed by how much Spanish he has picked up. We were so relieved to have Tati’s support potty training and believe that her guidance and structure has made it a much smoother process than if we had attempted it on our own.

It is clear that Tati is beloved by her own family, the other children she has cared for, as well as her neighbors and community members. We have the utmost confidence in her judgement and feel very comfortable leaving our child in her care.

We feel so lucky to have Tati in our lives, and you will too! I was nervous about having our then 11 month old under the care of someone other than a parent. Not because I didn’t trust Tati, but because our child had sleep issues and digestive issues. However, my concerns were gone after the first day our child stayed with Tati. Tati proved to be a kind, warm, caring, invested, communicative, and collaborative caregiver throughout the year that she cared for our child. 

Getting photos during the day, and evening reports regarding sleep, food, and diaper changes was so helpful. Knowing that our child was having fun, learning, and gaining new experiences under Tati’s care was invaluable. The connections she builds with children is truly incomparable.

We highly, highly recommend Tati's Kids! Tati cared for our son from 8 months until he was 2.5 years old. She is one of the warmest, most energetic, and capable people we’ve ever met. Tati's Kids is based at Tati's house on a quiet cul-de-sac on the Albany-El Cerrito border, where she has a sunny playroom, a huge yard with fruit trees, lots of different play kitchens, bikes, and a big play structure, as well as a playground and park just outside her door.

We had an amazing experience with Tati throughout our time together. She is affectionate and present with the kids, always helping them to be more loving, communicative, and capable. She teaches them letters, numbers, shapes, songs, arts and crafts. She feeds them healthy lunches and snacks. She fostered a real friendship between our son and hers. Our son was easily and confidently potty trained by the time he was 21 months old thanks in large part to her efforts. She is fluent in Spanish and English but speaks Spanish exclusively with the kids.
