Precious Treasures

Our son has been at Precious Treasures for over a year and a half now and we are grateful for the professional care he has received from Monique and for all of the wonderful adventures they take around the Bay Area! The size, creativity, and community from Precious Treasures has been great.

Our 3 yo son has been with Precious Treasures since he was 9 months old and we cannot recommend PT and Monique's care enough! We were originally drawn to PT because of the daily outings to places like local zoos, the Cal Academy, BADM, and Fairyland. Once COVID hit, the outings were initially reduced but have since restarted, and our son is an expert at wearing a mask - thanks to Monique's consistency! Monique was able to stay open through the pandemic through lots of communication with the families. We have felt very safe in keeping our son with PT throughout the pandemic. 

Monique keeps us updated daily on our son's activities and development. She has been there to support us at every development milestone, from learning to walk, to potty training, and now learning to read/write. As first time parents we have always been able to go to Monique with any questions we've had about our son's development, and she has been a great resource.

Our almost-4-year-old has been with Monique at Precious Treasures since January 2018. He loves his friends there as well as the activities he gets to be involved in throughout the day. In a non-covid setting, the kids and Monique go on daily trips to museums, parks, story times, and so many different programs available throughout the Bay Area. In these uncertain times, Monique has done everything possible to help our families feel safe and secure in having children in her care amidst this health crisis. Monique keeps us updated about our son's days and when we have an issues to work through (he's not the best sleeper, has gone through bouts of just not eating through the day...), she has always been receptive to trying new methods to help him progress through a road block. Monique checks in with us every 6 months to do a parent check-in and is always available to chat before or after the day begins. One of the best parts of us being part of Precious Treasures has been making friends with the other lovely and welcoming parents and families (obviously not a requirement but a beautiful perk!). We highly recommend Monique's Precious Treasures and feel lucky to have found this local gem. Our 2 1/2 year old daughter has been there for a year now, and not only is she absolutely obsessed with getting to play with the train table, outdoor toys and all her buddies every day, but we have every confidence when we drop her off that she will be under the best care possible and given plenty of educational opportunities, social and emotional lessons thoughtfully mixed in and of course have lots of fun. Monique cares so much about the children and puts a ton of work and thought into every detail of her program, getting even more creative with limited options during COVID times, we're grateful to have found this special group. Monique has always demonstrated the highest of cleanliness standards, and is keeping up with the frequently changing regulations during the pandemic to ensure her program is in compliance and the kids and parents are up to speed. We've especially appreciated Monique accommodating a vegetarian diet and cloth diapers which were really important to us and harder to find in other daycare settings. She also went above and beyond to find solutions to make our daughter more comfortable during the transition when she started daycare; we as parents had some learning to do as well and Monique is very generous with providing additional support. We also like the helpful text message updates and photos to get insights into what the kids are up to. Our daughter loves going to Precious Treasures and we couldn't be happier to have a trusted place for her to spend her weekdays and be part of this genuinely friendly community. For families seeking a small, in-home childcare for their little one, we are delighted to recommend Monique’s superb care at Precious Treasures. Our son has been with Monique for nearly four years now, since he was just 4 months old. Our guy has thrived under Monique’s care and our small community of parents is just wonderful. Monique comes up with an incredible schedule of events and activities for the children to experience, with a focus on learning through exploring the world. Her regular program of play-based academic and (more importantly) social education is impressive enough, but her handling of the COVID-19 crisis has been beyond excellent, with a focus at all times on keeping the children and families safe and healthy. Monique provides an excellent standard of care in “normal” times and she has been doing an outstanding job of keeping us safe throughout this pandemic, in concert with our families. We have a 3 year old and a 7 month old at Precious Treausures and we couldn’t ask for more.  With Monique’s knowledge, daily trips, and loving atmosphere we get the best of a home daycare and preschool all in one. Our oldest says he misses Monique on the weekends and comes home surprising us with what he has learned. With all the trips they take our children get daily hands on play and learning outdoors, at libraries, parks, farms, and museums. Monique keeps up her education on early childhood development, provides parent teacher conferences, and is always up for offering tips regarding behavior, eating, and development.
