Happy Day Montessori Preschool is committed to providing a safe, warm, loving and developmentally appropriate environment for all children to grow and learn. We provide a Montessori education to the children and create daily stimulating activities and lesson plans designed for each child so they can explore their interests at their own pace. Our beautiful classrooms offer a cozy circle of first time friends, and the younger preschooler's natural sense of order and beauty, concentration, coordination, and independence.
I've had the pleasure of sending both of my children to Happy Day Montessori since 2021. Fahi creates a calm, respectful, and supportive environment where my children have thrived. The engaging programs and balanced curriculum foster community and encourage social interactions. My initially shy child has grown more confident and formed close bonds through collaborative play. Thanks to this wonderful preschool, both of my children are well-prepared for kindergarten. I highly recommend Happy Day Montessori for its inclusive and nurturing approach.
Our son attended Happy Day for nearly two years, and his experience was overwhelmingly positive. Initially shy and hesitant to leave the toddler room, he gradually blossomed into a confident child who even mentored younger students.
The teachers' genuine care and affection for their pupils was evident throughout. We particularly appreciated the school's balanced approach of ample playtime for social development and an introduction to fundamental academic concepts (writing skills, basic numeracy and elementary geography). This combination has prepared him well for the transition to kindergarten.
Happy Day fostered our son's growth from a timid toddler to a self-assured preschooler, ready for his next educational step.
Our daughter was with Happy Day Montessori for 2.5 years. We started during Covid times and it was a big transition for both the grown ups and our daughter. We toured so many preschools in the El Cerrito, Albany and Berkeley area. What sets happy day apart from other schools was Fahi's love and care. It's easy to see how much she cares for the children through all the details. When our daughter first started, she was barely over 2 years old. The transition was rough to say the least. She was on a hunger strike and didn't eat any of the food we brought with her. Fahi was never discouraged and continued to engage with her in a setting that she was comfortable in. Fast forward to now, she blossomed into an independent and outgoing (maybe too much at times) big girl. Fahi's dedication to the students is unmatched. We were very grateful to have her to be a part of our daughter's life.
I'll leave everyone with the words our 4.5 year old said recently. "I don't want to go to Kindergarten, I just want to stay at my old school (happy day) with Teacher Fahi."
Fahi was our son's teacher at another Montessori school in the area, and we were absolutely thrilled when she decided to open her own preschool, which our son will now be attending. She is kind, loving, and an amazing teacher! Our four year old son has learned so much with her - both academically and emotionally. She is also taking COVID precautions seriously with small class size, individual desks/equipment, and masks for the everyone (including the students). She is a gem and we are so excited to be a part of her new school.
We were so lucky to have Fahi as our daughter’s first teacher. She is dedicated to her job and truly loves her students. She’s kind, nurturing, and great at connecting with each child. Fahi’s creativity made learning an enjoyable experience for our daughter. She was also great at keeping parents informed of what the children were learning and shared fun stories from the classroom. We could not have had a better experience!
Before she opened this school, Fahi was my daughter's teacher at another school. The children really love her because she is loving and engaging, and she is well studied in the Montessori method. She was really helpful in my daughter's transition from the younger class to the older classroom, helping her to feel comfortable among the older children. My daughter particularly loved the art projects Fahi introduced in the classroom. During the early days of the shelter-in-place, Fahi was really committed and creative uploading fun lessons online for the children to watch from home. We are very grateful to Fahi for her role in our daughter's early education.
