Our daughter just graduated from Growing Minds Montessori after 2.5 wonderful years there. Lorena is extremely warm and kind and has many years of experience with Spanish bilingual Montessori education. Our daughter thrived with the care and education that Lorena provides. We can’t say enough good things about Lorena and Growing Minds Montessori! We just left last week and already miss her dearly.

This small, loving preschool + daycare is amazing. Our child has grown leaps and bounds in so many areas like making friends, helping younger children, even fine motor and school-ready skills. Lorena has created a warm, encouraging yet appropriately challenging space for our child to thrive. Every day, they are learning Spanish, playing a lot, practicing relevant skills (in our case, most recently, writing), supporting each other, all in this nurturing and safe space. Lorena is a loving educator. Choose Growing Minds Montessori Home!

We are so pleased to have found a place for our son at Growing Minds Montessori Home. Our son started there at 2 years old, Lorena has supported our son and our whole family through pacifier weaning, potty training, and welcoming a new family member with love, compassion, and expertise. We love being a part of this small warm community that allows us to collaborate directly with Lorena and know all of the other parents. We recommend Lorena to any parents looking for a close-knit, kind, Spanish-speaking, and Montessori-style learning daycare.

Our daughter was at Growing Minds Montessori during the pandemic and beyond. We really liked the small class size, the attention to growth and play and learning, and Lorena's care and kindness with the students. It was a sweet environment with clear open dialogue and gave us peace of mind. My daughter is still friends with many of the children in that cohort from when she was only 2 1/2 years old. We are still in touch with Ms. Lorena and remain friends. Her love and passion to be an educator shows though in her actions. I give the preschool my high recommendation.

We cannot say enough good things about Growing Minds Montessori. The director, Lorena, is an extremely loving, gifted teacher, and is dedicated to early Montessori education in Spanish with 20+ years of experience. Our daughter adores Lorena, and we are constantly amazed at the level of social and intellectual teaching that Lorena does. The kids speak Spanish all day, along with thoughtful Montessori structure and activities. We feel very lucky to know Lorena and to see our daughter thriving under her care.

Growing Minds Montessori is a gem of a preschool located in the Laurel. Both of our kids have attended this preschool (now age 3 and 5) and have thrived in this loving, rich environment. The director, Lorena, worked with us to deliver on the social-emotional and educational needs of each of our kids. The school is brightly colored and features a host of great engaging toys, lessons, and play structures that have kept our kids happy and healthy over the last 3 years. Moreover, our kids are now fluent in Spanish, a language neither of us parents speak. I can't recommend Growing Minds enough. If you want it all, please consider this preschool for your child.

We have been with Lorena for almost four full years, and it has been a positive experience. Our son had the opportunity to meet Lorena before we agreed to the placement and he was immediately at ease with her sweet demeanor, as well as intrigued by the array of toys and educational activities. As a parent and an educator, I've always been pleased with the balance of educational foundation she provides in conjunction with how much time the kids get to play. Lorena has been a great provider for our son, and know he'll continue to thrive as he transitions to elementary school, in great part because of the love and support that she gives the children she cares for.
