Visiting Clear Lake

Hello, Our family (2 parents and one 5-yr old daughter) is thinking of going to Clear Lake for a weekend getaway. Do you have recommendations regarding which hotel to stay? We don't do camping (yet). We want a family-friendly place by the lake where our 5-yr old daughter can practice her swimming skills. If you have recommendations about what other activities we can do with her, that would be great too. Thank you in advance.

We visited clear lake and enjoyed it very much. We stayed at a large hotel resort, I think it was called The Inn at Clear Lake, and I remember having a great apartment style room with a full kitchen, large living area with gas firplace, separate bathroom and hot tub on the deck over looking the lake. There were at least 50 rooms like ours, and a separate standard hotel room building. There was an outdoor amphitheater, and to my recollection, many well known artists have been there. Other activities included a putt-putt course, large outdoor pools, playground, spa with all the services, indoor pool, boat launch and rental. The restaurants were nothing to write home about, and a nearby pizza joint was 15 minutes away, so I would suggest cooking yourself or perhaps the food at the resort has improved. **Lunch at the pool was good -- pizza, hamburgers etc.** Been there done that
