The Youth Literacy Project

Youth Literacy Project is a student-led upcoming non-profit based in Berkeley, California. We started as a Berkeley High School Club, The Right Writers, and in the winter of 2024, we’ve decided to take a step forward and become a non-profit! We volunteer at local libraries, publish original writings, and create a community for writers & readers to be themselves. Our mission is to benefit children by improving their literacy skills and helping them learn how to love literature. We have been leading Reading Buddies at the Library at Berkeley Public Library, Central Branch.
