Please let me know if you have info on this school or others that are like it. I think it may be a good fit for our son but I would love to know pros and cons of this school and what your experience has been with it. Thanks mirsunI have a happy freshman at Lawrence. With one quarter of experience under our belts, it seems to be a great fit for her, and she is thriving academically, creatively and emotionally. Initially she thought she'd go to a larger school, and somewhere other than the midwest, but Lawrence beckoned, so we decided to do an overnight visit. After sitting in classes and staying a night in the dorms, she was hooked, despite the bleak weather of early April. It all just clicked, in a way that it didn't with any other school. My impression is that Lawrence really does nurture the whole person. I think they're academically rigorous without being over-competitive, and they really want their students to succeed personally as well as academically. They seem to provide the environment and the support systems to make that not only possible, but likely. I'd definitely suggest an overnight visit if you can. We found that to be the best way for our daughter to get a feel for schools. kathy
