Elementis Learning

I teach math to kids in grades 4-9 using a holistic, personalized approach. I also provide help with executive functioning, which includes note-taking, organization and time management. My philosophy is pretty simple:

Teach the right things

• Align with existing standards (like CA Common Core Math) and with the content the student is pursuing in school
• Augment that content where it makes sense
• Address and close any gaps

• Observe, adapt and refine based on the student's needs and learning style
• Show empathy and kindness, supporting kids and building their confidence
• Emphasize the importance of exploration and making mistakes
• Develop true math fluency
